Billboard Demands Rep. Scott Perry Vote Against Republican Plan to Destroy Medicaid

Harrisburg, PA – On Tuesday, February 25th, Social Security Works will launch a mobile billboard campaign in Pennsylvania’s 10th congressional district, targeting Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA). A truck displaying the billboard will travel to senior centers in Harrisburg and the local Social Security office. It will also visit Perry’s Harrisburg office and the State Capitol Building.

The billboard informs constituents that Rep. Perry is working with billionaire Elon Musk to destroy Medicare and Medicaid. On Tuesday night, Perry will vote on a Republican budget resolution that includes $880 billion in cuts to Medicaid, destroying the program as we know it. The budget resolution also opens the door to Medicare cuts. The billboard urges people to call Perry’s office and demand he vote no on the resolution.

The billboard will continue visiting Perry’s district, with updated language, for the next two years. Social Security Works also plans to run billboards around the country urging Republicans vulnerable to losing their seats in 2026 to vote no on any cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Rep. Perry won his seat by only 5,133 votes. If the Republican budget becomes law, 59,000 people in Perry’s district will lose their health care.

“Elon Musk is trying to steal Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid to pay for billionaire tax cuts,” said Alex Lawson, Executive Director of Social Security Works. “Rep. Scott Perry is complicit in that theft. Our billboard truck will make sure every senior in his district knows it.”
