Social Security Works PAC Endorses Lisa Brown
Social Security Works PAC today announced its endorsement of Lisa Brown for U.S. House in Washington’s 5th District. Jon “Bowzer” Bauman of Sha Na Na fame, President of Social Security Works PAC, released the following statement:
“Lisa Brown is a proven leader who will fight to protect and expand Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, while also working to lower the outrageous cost of prescription drugs. She will stand up to Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans, who are relentless in their attacks on the earned benefits our nation’s seniors have worked hard for and rely on.
In contrast, Cathy McMorris Rodgers voted for Paul Ryan’s anti-senior budget, which would cut $500 billion from Medicare, and for the tax giveaway to the wealthy that Republicans are using as an excuse to demand cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. No one should believe her claim that she won’t vote to cut benefits, given that she has already done so many times. McMorris Rodgers has a ZERO 2017 score from the Alliance for Retired Americans. As I sang in the movie ‘Grease,’ ‘How Low Can You Go?’”
