Social Security Works PAC Endorses Sharice Davids

Social Security Works PAC today announced its endorsement of Sharice Davids for U.S. House in Kansas’s 3rd District. Jon “Bowzer” Bauman of Sha Na Na fame, President of Social Security Works PAC, released the following statement:

“Sharice Davids is a proven leader who will fight to protect and expand Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, while also working to lower the outrageous cost of prescription drugs. Sharice will stand up to Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans, who are relentless in their attacks on the earned benefits our nation’s seniors have worked hard for and rely on.

In contrast, Kevin Yoder voted for Paul Ryan’s anti-senior budget and for the tax giveaway to the wealthy that Republicans are using as an excuse to demand cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Yoder has a ZERO 2017 score from the Alliance for Retired Americans. As I sang in the movie ‘Grease,’ ‘How Low Can You Go?’”

Sharice Davids released the following statement on receiving Social Security Works PAC’s endorsement:

“Social Security is a promise that seniors paid into through a lifetime of hard work. We have an obligation to protect that lifeline that so many seniors rely on in retirement. We have to make sure that these benefits remain available to everyone who is eligible. That’s why I will not support any cuts to Social Security.”
